Kagawa Prefecture, Kobe City, Jumbo Ferry
The best of a place from
various perspectives.
Client: Kagawa Prefecture, Kobe City, Jumbo Ferry
Service: Project Planning, Native Advertorial Content Production, Media Selection
Outcome: 5 articles, 5 media platforms, 2 languages
Project Overview: The city of Kobe and Kagawa Prefecture are conveniently connected by the Jumbo Ferry, a daily cruise on the beautiful Inland Sea of Japan. To support the two regions and the ferry-operating company to promote their destinations and services, we created a strategy plan that introduces the best of both Kobe and Kagawa from different angles to international travelers in five media platforms and two languages, while also providing details on the Jumbo Ferry service for future travels to both locations.
We worked with four media platforms based in Japan and one based in France and each created a unique aspect to promote the two destinations. The news and lifestyle website Japan Today introduced the cultural importance of using traditional tools in the making of soy sauce and sake in Kobe and Shodoshima, Kagawa; web magazine for women and international families Savvy Tokyo introduced a travel itinerary targeted at female travelers to both Kobe and Kagawa, centered around food; lifestyle portal for foreign residents GaijinPot focused on Kobe’s famous sake production district Nadagogo, travel web magazine Voyapon (in French) focused on Kagawa’s food resources and culture and Lonely Planet France wrote about Kagawa and Kobe’s fascinating culture and food tourism opportunities.
